About

Drew Gibson

I build things for the web because I still believe in its potential as a free and open platform.

For 8+ years I've been creating web and mobile applications with Lookback, a Stockholm-based startup designing tools for user research.

My work has spanned front and back-end development, integrating several different services, maintaining existing code so it stays useful and reliable, and managing the complexity of building both desktop and mobile interfaces for a live video-streaming platform.

I really enjoy the challenge of figuring out how things work, understanding why they sometimes don't, and finding creative ways to make systems more elegant and more legible.

Aside from that I'm usually writing and playing music with friends, practicing Mandarin (and now Spanish), hacking around with Emacs or Lem, or finding some other rabbit hole to explore that will somehow fuse all of these interests together.
